Browsing data and hosting

This is a static website hosted by Netlify (Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA), which acts as data processor. To deliver the pages and keep them secure, its servers automatically record technical data such as IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser and operating system.

Legal basis: the legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is not used to identify visitors and is kept only as long as the provider needs it for these purposes. It may be processed outside the EU; such transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

This website uses no cookies and no analytics, profiling or advertising tools, so no cookie banner is required (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003, and the Garante’s cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021). Fonts and images are served by this website itself.

The only item stored in your browser is a technical value in session storage that shows the intro animation just once. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the tab.

Embedded content

The talk video (YouTube) and the S.E.C.li website preview (GitHub Pages) load only after you click on them. From that moment the provider receives your IP address and technical browser data and may set cookies under its own privacy policy: Google Ireland Ltd. for YouTube (loaded in privacy-enhanced mode from youtube-nocookie.com) and GitHub, Inc. for GitHub Pages.

Email

If you write to me, your address and message are used only to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and are deleted once the conversation is over, unless they are needed for a working relationship. Providing them is voluntary. There are no contact forms on this website.

Your rights

Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you can request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing, by writing to habibbhatti2002@gmail.com. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
